Questions women ask

What is the Free Fertility Plan?

It is a free online tool from Live Gracious. You answer a few questions about your cycle, health and goals, and get a personal plan: your fertile days, a 7-day Indian meal plan, a gentle yoga routine, the tests to ask your doctor about for you and your partner, and questions to take to your doctor. The plan is reviewed by our OB-GYN, Dr. Shreshtha Gupta.

Is it really free?

Yes. The questions and your plan are free. If you would like to talk it through with our care team, your first consultation is 55% off for 7 days after you see your plan. Each phone number gets one plan and one offer.

How does it work out my fertile days?

It uses your usual cycle length and when your last period started to estimate when you ovulate. The fertile window is the six days ending on the day of ovulation, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. It is an estimate: logging your periods in the Live Gracious app makes it more accurate over time. It is not a method of contraception.

Which fertility tests should we ask our doctor about?

It depends on your age, how long you have been trying and your health, which is why the plan asks first. Common examples are a blood count, thyroid (TSH), blood sugar and vitamin D for you, and a semen analysis for your partner, since fertility problems can affect either partner. Please always ask your doctor before getting any test.

When should we see a doctor about getting pregnant?

The NHS suggests seeing a doctor if you have not conceived after a year of trying, and sooner if you are 36 or older or already know you may have a fertility problem. If your periods are very irregular or painful, it is worth seeing a doctor without waiting.

Who is it for?

Women aged 18 and over who are planning a pregnancy, have been trying for a while, are thinking about IUI or IVF, are living with PCOS, thyroid or another hormonal condition, or are feeling anxious or overwhelmed. It gives general guidance and is not a diagnosis. In an emergency, call 112.

Is my information private?

Your answers are saved to your Live Gracious account so you can come back to your plan, and are handled under our Privacy Policy. We never ask for more than we need to build your plan.
